Enoch E Willard October 26, 1938 April 21, 2016 Enoch E. Willard~(Enie, Gene), 77 of~Peaks Island and~Biddeford passed away peacefully on Thursday,~April 21, 2016~surrounded by his loved ones. ~ Enoch~was born in Portland Maine on October 26th, 1938 to Enoch F. and Mary C (Doherty) Willard.~Enoch graduated from Portland High School in 1956. ~His love for the water would lead him~on a seaward journey.~~He~worked in NY as a Tug Boat captain~and~later~worked on dredges along~the East Coast from Maine to Florida.~He eventually moved back to Peaks Island and followed in his father's footsteps as a fisherman~and engineer. ~Enoch spent the last 34~years~with the love of his life Nancy,~whom~proceeded~him 5 short months ago.~ Enoch enjoyed~crossword puzzles and was an avid reader. ~He loved to learn and~had a passion for history, he~was a walking, talking historical library.~Enoch cherished the time he~spent~with Nancy and his children~along the~Maine coastline, the local river, boat rides on Casco Bay with his son~Gene~at the helm~and walks on Old Orchard Beach.~Most of all, he loved~his children and his extended family. Enoch~is survived by his~self proclaimed~8 amazing children~as he so proudly referred ~to them. ~Sharon Morrill and husband Jeff of Cartersville, GA, Bobby Swartz and wife Mary of Waterboro, Eugene~Willard and wife~Carolyn~of South Portland,~Margaret Willard of Douglasville, GA,~Enoch Willard and wife Diane of Goffstown, NH, Mary Lucca and husband Mark of South Windsor, CT, Elizabeth Forster & husband Vance of Dallas, GA, John Willard and wife Heather of Kennesaw, GA;~also survived by 21 grandchildren and 6 great~grandchildren.
