Elizabeth May West July 22, 1934 December 4, 2013 Portland - Elizabeth May West, 79, of Portland, passed away at the Maine Medical Center on December 4, 2013. She was born on July 22, 1934 in Lewiston, the daughter of Samuel and Marjorie (Lishon) Allie. During her childhood, her family moved to Portland and she graduated from Portland Schools. After high school, Elizabeth joined and served in the United States Navy. After leaving active duty, Elizabeth worked at various jobs, including raising her family and eventually retiring as a security officer at the Portland Jetport. Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Geary William West, who passed away on December 15, 2007. She is survived by her daughter, Darlene Ann West and her husband, William Tibbetts, her son Mark William West and his wife Ok Yong West, her grandchildren Heather Kara West, William William West, Sarah Elizabeth Hoffman and he husband James Hoffman, Jian William West, her great-granddaughter Dana Marie Brewer as well as her brother-in-law, Tyrone Dixie West. A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 13, 2013 at 1pm at Gracelawn Memorial Park, 980 Turner St, Auburn.
