Elizabeth L. Preston 68, passed away at home on Tuesday October 7, 2025, with her lifelong partner, Deborah DiBiase, by her side. Fondly referred to as "Princess" by her loved ones, Elizabeth was born on September 15, 1957, in Portland, Maine, to Arnold and Dolores Preston. She attended Portland High School and spent many years working at Barber Foods and Goodwill Industries, later managing the Big Apple convenience store on Park Avenue in Portland for over a decade. One of Elizabeth's cherished childhood passions was roller skating. As an adult, she loved to travel, camp and frequently visited casinos with close friends, Louis and Carol DiBiase. Liz created many lasting memories at Walt Disney World with her extended family, including nieces and nephews, who affectionately called her "Auntie Liz." She was known for her sweet tooth, she never missed an opportunity for a piece of candy and enjoyed her morning coffee with her beloved Debbie. Elizabeth was compassionate, loving and considerate. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dolores and Arnold Preston, her brothers Eddie and Butchie Roberts, and her sister Bunny Fitzsimmons. Elizabeth is survived by her sisters Nancy Broad and Donna Harmon, her brothers Larry and Arnold Preston. She will be profoundly missed by her best friends Marci Iezzi and Penny Atwood along with her devoted partner Deborah DiBiase. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Mercy Hospital and hospice nurses for the compassionate care Elizabeth received. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 18th at New Calvary Cemetery 1461 Broadway, South Portland, ME.
