Elizabeth Ann "Goodfellow" Yelle July 17, 1943 October 12, 2014 Portland - Elizabeth Ann ""Goodfellow"" Yelle, 71, of Portland, passed away at the Barron Center after a long illness on October 12, 2014 with family by her side. She was born on July 17, 1943 in York and was raised by her adopted parents Harold and Lillian ""Estes"" Goodfellow. She grew up in Wells and attended the Maine School for the Deaf and the Clarke School. She also attended Smith College and U. Mass at Amherst. Betsey had many joys in her life and she loved fishing, playing bingo, crocheting, and collecting Angels. She was a member of both the Maine and Massachusetts Deaf Clubs and worked on many of their basketball tournaments. Betsey also loved her many pets, especially her dog Rocky and cat Justin. Betsey was pre-deceased by her parents and her ex-husband, Donald Yelle. She is survived by her wife of twelve years, Alice Weitzel Tuck, and her daughter Diane Lillian Yelle. Friends and family are invited to a celebration of Betsey's life on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 12:30 pm at A.T. Hutchins Funeral & Cremation Services, 660 Brighton Ave, Portland.
