Elaine Audrey Tucker March 19, 1931 February 19, 2014 Portland - Elaine Audrey Tucker peacefully passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Mercy Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Portland on March 19, 1931 to Archibald and Eleanor (Foss) Mishio. Elaine attended local schools and lived most of her life in the city she adored. After high school, Elaine worked as a waitress at Uncle Andy's Bakery and then for her brother Spike at Stinson's Bakery until she retired. Not letting retirement slow her down, Elaine volunteered as a foster grandmother at several daycares around Portland, bringing joy to many children. She enjoyed sightseeing day trips, loved to read and visit with friends and talked about her grandchildren and great-grandchildren to anyone who would listen - always having pictures ready to show. She always looked forward to receiving cards and letters from her two caring pen pals; Kat Hinkle of PA and Ann Doughty of Maine. Elaine was predeceased by her parents, her husband Philip E. Tucker, a son Robert E. Morey, brothers Herbert ""Spike"" Stinson and Clifford ""Sonny"" Mishio, a sister Virginia Macomber and a son-in-law Chester Reynolds. Elaine leaves behind her devoted daughters Kathleen M. Morey and Mary E. Jensen, grandsons Steven Greer, Jeff Greer (and partner Melissa Tapley), Philip Adams (and his wife Carina) and Elijah Jensen, and granddaughter Desirae Rowe, as well as great-grandchildren Brandon M. , Madison, Mitchell, Brettan, Soran, Brandon T., Abby and Kasen. She is also survived by a brother Ronald, sister-in-law Millie Stinson and many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. Elaine was a cherished mother, dedicated Nana, dear sister and a wonderful friend to those lucky enough to know her. She will be missed every day, but will never be forgotten. The family would like to thank the staff of the Barron Center for taking such great care of our loved one. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 1 at 11 am at Brooklawn Memorial Park , 2002 Congress St., Portland.
