Eileen Mary Goepner December 18, 1941 February 28, 2013 Portland- Eileen Mary Goepner, 71, of Sara Lane, passed away on February 28, 2013 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough, ME. She was born in Everett, MA, a daughter of John and Kathleen (Reynolds) Foresteire. Eileen graduated from Everett High School and Boston State College. She was a proud and caring school teacher in the Westbrook, ME school system for 28 years where she earned the love and respect of many students. Marked by enthusiasm and a love of life, Eileen's greatest passion was her profound relationship with family and friends. She was pre-deceased by a sister in-law, Jeanne Foresteire. Survivors include her loving husband of 32 years, Rudy Goepner; son, Patrick O'Malley and his wife Erin; stepson, Alan Goepner and his wife Sharon; brothers, John Foresteire and his wife Angela, Richard Foresteire, Fredrick Foresteire and his wife Dorothy; nieces & nephews, Theresa Robinson and her husband Jason, Gretchen Rich and her husband Kevin and their children Callie and Darby, Richard Foresteire, Jr and his wife Kara and their children Grace and James, Fred Foresteire and Denise Foresteire. Goddaughter, Lindsey Poitras. She is also survived by numerous extended relatives. Visiting hours will be held from 12-2 pm on Monday, March 4, 2013 at A.T. Hutchins Funeral & Cremation Services, 660 Brighton Ave. Portland, where a funeral will follow at 2 pm. Interment will be private.
