Edward L. Bushey 1952- 2025 Edward L. Bushey, 72, of Woodbury Street in Portland, passed away on Monday March 24th At the Gosnell House in Scarborough following a long illness. He was born in Portland on April 15, 1952 the 3rd child of Robert A. and Beatrice L. Foster Bushey. Ed was educated in Portland schools and was a graduate of Portland High School, class of 1970. He met the love of his life Janet Freeman in 1977, and they were married in 1979, welcoming their son Jeremy into the world in 1982. Ed was employed with Crosby Laughlin for 15 years, and later worked at S.D. Warren. He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching the Patriots, Bruins, Celtics & Nascar Races. Ed also loved watching Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, Price Is Right & Gold Rush, and MacGyver. He was always helping people and tinkering with things around the house. Ed was predeceased by his parents, and his wife Janet passed away in 2005. Surviving besides his son Jeremy Bushey of Portland, are his 2 Brothers Arthur and his wife Julie, Kenneth and his life partner Ellen; & Many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins & Friends, and his Beloved Grand Dog Luna. Visiting hours will be held from 5-8 Pm on Thursday April 3, 2025 at A.T. Hutchins Funeral Home, 660 Brighton Avenue. Funeral Services will be held 10 AM on Friday April 4th At the funeral home. Burial will follow in Brooklawn Memorial Park, 2002 Congress Street. The family would like to offer a special thank you to Maine Cancer Center, Dr. Thomas & crew.
