Edson A. Noyes, Jr. May 11, 1940 June 4, 2016 Edson A. Noyes, Jr., 76 of Buxton, died unexpectedly on June 7, 2016 at Maine Medical Center. Born in Portland, he was a son of Edson A. Noyes, Sr. and Mary Halloran. Edson attended Portland Schools prior to going to work for William. Goodman & Sons, as General Manager of Operations until his retirement in 2002. He was a dedicated worker, husband and father. Edson was an avid Red Sox and NASCAR fan. He adored his animals and had a love for collecting cars, particularly red ones. In his early years of retirement he and his wife enjoyed camping outings in their winnwbago. Edson was predeceased by his daughter Priscilla M. Noyes in 2014. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Dorothy N. Noyes. His children Judith Peaslee, Edson A. Noyes, III, Edward A. Noyes and his fiancé Mary Jo, Terry Noyes and his wife Shelby, David Noyes, Debra Fucciani and her husband Michael and Cindy Blake and her husband Brent. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and his dog Nash Bridges and his cat Max. An hour of visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Monday June 13, 2016 at A. T. Hutchins Funeral Home, 660 Brighton Avenue, Portland. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
