Dorothy Lorraine Seavey (68), of Portland passed away unexpectedly February 5, 2022 at Maine Medical Center due to complications during an open-heart surgery. Dorothy or "Dottie" As she was known by those close to her, was born October 31, 1953. A dedicated wife, Mother, and Nana. She treasured her Family and embraced every moment with them. As owner of "Dottie's little shop of everything for more than 40 years her passion for all things old was without question. Dottie's dedication to family started more than 40 years ago when she met her husband John Seavey Sr. Together, they took separate family's and made them one blended family and showed them all endless and unconditional love. Dottie is pre deceased by her oldest daughter Dorothy Lorraine Gooldrup and is survived by her husband and best friend John Seavey Sr, and children Abraham Gammon, Jessica Seavey, Christina Duncan, Shanna Pepin, Sara Morgan, John Seavey Jr., and George Seavey as well as her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she absolutely loved and adored. She cherished each and every one of them. Dottie enjoyed horse racing, playing cards, the beach, and trips to the casino. She had a love for the businesses she and her husband started ground up and was fully committed and successful for the past 40 years. Dottie had the most enthusiastic and vivacious personality.  The Visitation that was scheduled from 5-8 PM on Friday, February 11, 2022 at A.T. Hutchins Funeral Home, 660 Brighton Avenue, Portland, has been canceled.  The Funeral Services will be continued to be held at 10 AM Saturday, February 12, 2022 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, 672 Stevens Avenue, Portland. In Lieu of flowers contributions in Dottie's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105.
