Dorothy "Chick" N. Noyes October 19, 1938 July 20, 2016 Dorothy ""Chick"" N. Noyes, 77, of Albert Circle, Buxton died Wednesday July 20, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Portland, a daughter of Harry Foster, Sr. and Dorothy Libby Foster. While attending Portland Schools, she met the love of her life Edson A. Noyes, Jr. Married for sixty years, he predeceased her on June 7, 2016. Dorothy put caring for her family first. She worked full time, kept an immaculate home and with her husband Edson raised their eight children. She loved to cook not only for her family but for 18 years she was a cook at the South Portland Nursing Home. Dorothy loved her animals especially her dog Nash Bridges and cat Max. Dorothy is predeceased by her husband Edson A. Noyes, Jr., her daughter Priscilla Noyes and her two brothers William Foster and Harry Foster, Jr. Dorothy is survived by her children; Judith Peaslee, Edson A. Noyes, III, Edward A. Noyes and his fiancé Mary Jo, Terry Noyes and his wife Shelby, David Noyes, Debra Fucciani and her husband Michael, Cindy Blake and her husband Brent and her dog Nash Bridges and cat Max. She is survived by a brother Leroy Foster and her 16 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Mary Jo Welch for her care and companionship to their mother after the death of their father and to Beacon Hospice for the care and support provided to Dorothy and her family. Services will be private.
