Doris Elizabeth Foster January 28, 1929 November 4, 2013 Portland- Doris Elizabeth Gardner Foster, a resident of South Portland since 2000, died November 4, 2013 at St. Joseph's Nursing Home in Portland with family by her side. She was born in Masardis, ME, a daughter of Loren A. and Ruby P. (Snow) Gardner. She married Robert Harry Waas in 1949 and spent her years raising her four children and numerous grandchildren in Maine and Connecticut. She was pre-deceased by her sons, David Eugene Waas and Anthony Robert Waas; sisters, Erma Gardner, Harriet Androtti and Carol Gardner; brothers, Ronald and Bernard Gardner. She will be missed by her daughter, Victoria Ann Jipson of South Portland; son, Arthur Willis Jipson of North Carolina; brother, Rodney Gardner of Greenland, NH, 43 grand and great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
