Donna Lee Light, 86, of Falmouth passed away at her residence on December 7, 2025. She was born in Falmouth Maine on September 22, 1939, a daughter of Herman and Ina (Swanson) Howard. She was a graduate of Falmouth High School. She received her CNA certificate from Portland Regional Vocational Tech. She married Clarence Light in May 1958. Donna was a stay-at-home mom raising 5 children for several years until she received her CNA certification. Donna worked for the City of Portland Barron Center for 22 years and immensely enjoyed working in the adult day care with her clients. Donna loved to travel, sew, garden and cook. She loved having family gatherings where she would take several days to prepare and cook the family meal. Surviving family: Donna was predeceased by her husband, all her siblings, her daughter Robin Pollock and daughter Carol Seavey. Donna is survived by her son Wayne Light of Biddeford, daughter Tammy Buchanan and her husband Chris of Falmouth, Keith Light and his wife Alyson of Cumberland, 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Donna also is survived by her very good friend and travel companion, Kathleen Garza from Poland, Maine. Oh the places they have gone and the places they have seen. The family would like to thank Southern Maine Hospice for all the care they provided to her so that she would remain at home in her final days. Friends and family are invited to a service to be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Emmaus Lutheran Church, 265 Middle Road, Falmouth, ME 04105. A reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall immediately after the service. A private graveside service will be held in the spring.
