Donald R. Byrnes, Sr. July 22, 1950 February 10, 2012 Westbrook - Donald R. Byrnes, Sr., 61, of Westbrook, passed away peacefully at his home on February 10, 2012, with his wife Teri and daughters Tammy and Dawn by his side. He was born in Portland on July 22, 1950 to Heber and Essie Byrnes. He attended the Westbrook schools. Donald had been employed by Blue Rock (now Pike Industries) for over 30 years. He enjoyed hunting and woodworking and spending time with his family. He is predeceased by his parents, along with two sisters, Virtue Campbell and Donna Rose Byrnes and a brother Norman. He is survived by his wife of 33 years; daughters, Tammy Byrnes of Westbrook, Rosie Meserve of Portland and Dawn Byrnes of South Portland; along with sons, Charles Boynton of Westbrook, Donald Byrnes, Jr. of Bucksport and Heath Byrnes of Florida. He is also survived his brothers; Darrell Byrnes of Westbrook, James Byrnes of Falmouth, Thomas Byrnes of Steep Falls and Robert Byrnes of South Portland, along with one sister, Patricia Gee of Buxton; 13 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Donald's life on Saturday, February 18, 2012, at Independent Death Care, 660 Brighton Avenue, Portland, with visiting hours from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM.
