Diane C. (Rapisardi)Viveiros February 19, 1932 July 18, 2012 Diane Colby Viveiros, 80, of Falmouth, ME, passed away with her children by her side, on July 18, 2012 at the Tidewell Hospice House in Englewood, FL. Diane was born in Springfield, MA on February 19, 1932, the daughter of Arthur and Louise Rapisardi. She grew up in Longmeadow and Springfield, MA. She was the oldest of five siblings Dolores, Linda, Wendy and Richard. In 1953, she married Ernest J. Viveiros and had two children. Her husband Ernie passed away April 29, 1987 and she remained in her home on Harding Avenue, Falmouth until January 2012. She worked for the Town of Falmouth and the Falmouth Superintendent's Office for 32 years, retiring in 2002. Diane leaves a legacy of treasured friendships with countless people, mostly from the Falmouth community. She dearly loved her family, her home, her many friends, knitting, reading and shopping with ""the girls."" She especially cherished and was so proud of her grandchildren, Courtney and Wills Dowd. Diane is survived by her two devoted children, Debi Dowd (husband Bill Dowd) of Portland, ME, and Steven Viveiros (fiancé Betty Ann Copley) of North Port, FL; grandchildren Courtney and Wills Dowd, and her sister, Wendy Holt of Cape Elizabeth, ME. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 27, 2012 at A. T. Hutchins, LLC, 660 Brighton Avenue, Portland, ME. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Holy Martyrs Church, 266 Foreside Road, Falmouth, ME.
