David A. Moore August 18, 1955 June 5, 2012 Gorham - David A. ""Big D"" Moore, 56, of Gorham, passed in his sleep at home on June 5, 2012. He was surrounded by his wife and children. David was born in 1955 in Portland, Maine. David enjoyed going moose hunting annually with his son David, brother Peter, cousin Ernie Hughes and friend Jerry Burton. His passion was fishing at Ken and Nancy's camp. Their neighbor, Bob, nicknamed him ""Comatose"" because he always saw him sitting at the end of the dock with his Budweiser at his side. He enjoyed weekly trips to the movies with ""Daddy's little girl,"" Kayla. David could never get enough of the show, NCIS. David was predeceased by his father, Peter Moore, mother Florence (Dow) Moore and brother Timothy Moore. He leaves behind his wife, Dianne (Adams) Moore, a son David R. Moore and his wife Krista (Ferrante) Moore, a daughter Kayla Moore and granddaughter, Paisley Moore. He is also survived by his brothers Peter Moore and Bruce Moore, an aunt Barbara (Moore) Hughes, sister-in-law Donna (Adams) Burton, brothers-in-law Kenneth Adams and his wife Nancy and Joel Adams and his wife Theresa as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, June 8, 2012 from 4-8pm at A.T. Hutchins, LLC Funeral and Cremation Services, 660 Brighton Ave. Portland. A Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 9:30, immediately followed by interment with military honors at Brooklawn Memorial Park, 2002 Congress Street, Portland.
