Darlynne L "Collins" Holsonback "Dar," 65, deied peacefully with her family by her side on July 16, 2024 at Mercy Hospital in Portland, Maine. She was born December 9, 1958 in Amsterdam, NY. The daughter of the late Darryl L. Collins and Barbara "Cook-Collins" Jones. Dar graduated from Fonda-Fultonville High School, Class of 1977. After graduation, she moved to Florida, working as a bartender for many years. She relocated back to New York, where she lived and worked as a bartender and serverr in the Caroga Lake area, building many friendships along the way. In 2018, she moved to Maine to be closer to family. While residing in Maine, she worked as a bartender at the Eagles Club in Windham. Dar enjoyed fishing, hunting, garage sales, family game nights, movies, video game, and animals. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her older brother, Darryl L. Collins, Jr. She is survived by her children, James Holsonback of Florida and Daughter Jodi "Holsonback" Williams of New York; 6 grandchildren, Brooklyn, Noah, Gregory, Ethan, Alyssa, and Madison; 3 brothers Darin Collins and his wife Vera Jean of Florida, Dana Collins and his wife Terri of Maine, Daric Collins and his wife Sheri of Maine; a nephew, and many nieces. The family sends their sincere appreciation to the Town of Raymond EMS and to the staff of Mercy Hospital for their compassionate care. A graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, 296 Martin Road, Fonda, NY on August 31, 2024, at 12:00 P.M. A Celebration of Life gathering will follow at Loyal Order of Moose, 159 Eerie Boulevard, Canajoharie, NY. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your local animal shelter, as Dar was an avid animal lover.
