Constance T McDonald April 28, 1931 August 25, 2016 CONSTANCE T. ""Connie"" MCDONALD, 85, died peacefully on August 25, 2016 at her home at 405 Lebanon Rd., North Berwick, Me. She was born April 28, 1931, in East Port, Me., daughter of the late Gordon L. and Blanche M. (Knowlton) Trynor. Connie moved to Portland with her family at a very young age. She attended Portland High School. She married her late husband in 1947 and together they raised eight children. She was a devout wife and mother. Her house was always filled with family and friends. The majority of people that knew her called her either mom or gram. She was nominated for Mother of The Year by her youngest daughter, Katherine. She was so thrilled when she was chosen as the winner. Connie loved to collect Beanie Babies and Porcelain Dolls, where she had a room dedicated to displaying them. She absolutely loved to gamble, she loved the casinos in Las Vegas, Foxwoods, and most recently Oxford. She also enjoyed bingo and lottery scratch tickets to pass her time. She loved to travel in the winter to Florida where she would enjoy her children and grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband Arnold ""Mac"" McDonald Sr., her grandsons Edmund ""Ed"" McDonald, James W.""Bimbo"" McDonald Jr., Dennis M. Kennedy Sr. Her Great-granddaughter Emily M. Kennedy. Her brothers: Oscar, Earl and his wife Tillie, Gordon L., Carl and his wife Mary Trynor. Her Uncle Ed his wife Connie Knowlton, and ex daughter in law Doris McDonald. She is survived by sons: James Sr. (Jimmy) and his wife Lorraine McDonald of Casco , Me, Arnold Sr. ""AJ"" McDonald of North Berwick, Me, and Michael ""Mike Sr. ""Bridgitte McDonald of Peaks Island, Me. Her daughters: Blanche Klisiewicz, her husband John of Venice Fl., Linda McDonald of North Berwick Me., Ann McDuffie of Freeport Me/Englewood Fl., Bessie St. Pierre and her husband Fred of Northport Fl., Katherine and her husband John Williams of Steep falls, Me., 20 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren, her special sister-in-law Betty Trynor of Portland Me., as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family would like to give special thanks to her granddaughter Michelle Gray who was at her bedside and helping her to remain comfortable until she passed. Sunday August 28 there will be a celebration of life at the Unity Lodge at 179 Ridgeland Ave., So Portland, Me. From 1pm to 4pm A graveside service will be Wednesday August 31 at Calvary Cemetery in So. Portland, Me at 11am.
