Clenda B.
Wildes
January 25, 1941 – April 24, 2026
Clenda B. Wildes, of Kennebunk, Maine, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family.
Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Clenda carried her Southern roots with her throughout her life. She was known for her quick wit, warm spirit, and remarkable singing voice that brought joy to all who had the pleasure of hearing it.
Clenda dedicated many years of service as a bus aide for the Kennebunk School District, where she became a familiar and caring presence to generations of students. She had a special gift for making others feel safe, welcome, and valued—whether on the bus, in her home, or anywhere her path led.
Her greatest joy in life was her family. Clenda deeply loved her children and grandchildren, cherishing every moment spent together. She also shared many wonderful adventures traveling with her beloved late husband, Allen, creating memories that will be treasured always.
Clenda had a passion for cooking and took pride in bringing people together around the table. She also enjoyed playing cribbage, where her sharp mind and playful spirit were always on display.
She will be remembered for her humor, her kindness, and the love she gave so freely. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughter, Jillana, and her husband, Santo Lombardo, of Scarborough, Maine; her son, Kris Springer, and daughter-in-law, Melissa Springer, of Massachusetts; and her daughter, Leighanne Springer, of Acton, Maine. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Max Springer, Ethan and Tori Springer, Sarah Springer, and Olivia Springer.
There will be a gathering announced at a later time.
