Christeena Elaine (Strout) Macie, 76, of Westbrook, Maine, passed away on June 19, 2025 in Portland after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Portland on March 6, 1949, Christeena lived a life characterized by kindness, wit, humor and grace and a deep love for her family including her best friend, Martha Francoeur. She was a proud alumna of South Portland High School and furthered her education at Southern Maine Technical College. She spent much of her career as an administrative assistant, first for Tyler Machine Tool and later at Trane. Known for her kind demeanor and attention to detail, she brought reliability and professionalism to everything she did. She took great pride in her work, always offering a helping hand and a warm smile. Christeena found joy in simple pleasures - time spent at Pequawket Lake during her youth, sunlit afternoons in her pool, spontaneous shopping trips with her children, a glass of wine on the porch with Martha. A lifelong lover of books, she found magic between the pages and could always be found with a novel in her hands and a stack waiting nearby. She had a passion for cooking and loved trying new recipes and creating new dishes. Known as "Grammie" to her grandchildren, she treasured time spent with them, filling their lives with love and laughter. With her ever present smile she was a radiant light in the lives of all who knew her - sweet, thoughtful and endlessly optimistic. She approached each day with a positive spirit that lifted those around her, even in the hardest of times. She leaves behind a loving family: her husband, Robert "Bob" Macie; sons Brian Albano and Michael Albano and his wife Emily Roth Albano; daughter, Stephanie Napolitano and her husband Joe Napolitano and her adored grandchildren, Joseph, Alyssa, Isabella, Eva, Mia, Vito and Sofia. Christeena is also survived by her brothers, Arthur Strout and his wife Linda and Robert Strout and his wife Linda. She was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Audrey Strout. Christeena's warmth and grace left an indelible mark that will always be remembered by those that knew her. Her presence was truly a gift and her gentle light will remain in our hearts forever.
