Betty Louise Mills December 17, 1933 June 29, 2016 Betty Louise Mills ""Guptill"" of Casco- Betty L Mills also known as Betty Boop, 82, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2016 at her home after a long journey of battling cancer. She was born December 17, 1933 in Portland, ME. The daughter of the late Joel E. and Etta M. Guptill. She attended Portland schools, and worked at New System laundry for 50 plus years! Her hobbies included: playing cards, dice, BINGO, and going to any casinos. Growing up she enjoyed ice skating, roller skating, and attending family functions. Survived by her daughters Pamela Thurston of Mechanic falls, Paula and Husband Patrick Locke of Casco, sister Dorothy and husband Roy Pinette of Westbrook, Shirley Talbot of Portland, Phyllis Bowman of Monmouth, And a brother Robert, and wife Beverly Guptill of West Melbourne Florida. She had 5 grandchildren, Randy Thurston of Bethel, Richie Thurston of Westbrook, Steven Locke of Windham, Gregory Locke of Naples, and Nathan Locke of Casco, 8 great grand children, Ethan, Jaden, Ean, Emily, Gavin, Amber and soon to be baby Ryan and baby Finn. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her sisters, Nellie McPhail, and Beatrice Adams, Her brothers Eugene Meserve, John Guptill, and Donald Guptill, and a great grand baby Tyler Locke. The family would like to give a special thanks to Chris Proctor, a dearest friend for many years; we would also like to thank the staff of hospice for their care and hospitality. Friends and family are invited to visiting hours from 2-4pm and 6-8pm on Tuesday, July 5th at A. T. Hutchins Funeral and Cremation Services, 660 Brighton Ave Portland.
