Bettenna G. Schlehuber January 14, 1928 December 30, 2013 Bettenna G. Schlehuber Portland- Bettenna ""Tena"" Grace Schlehuber, 85, died Monday December 30, 2013 at the Barron Center. Born in Clinton on January 14, 1928, she was one of eleven children of Howard and Ida (Hume) Urquhart. On September 28, 1946 she married Lynwood Schlehuber and they resided in Presque Isle, where she worked for potato service. In 1967 they moved to Portland. She worked for Health Tex for 14 years. After her retirement she worked for Shaw's Northgate in the Bakery Department for several years. Tena loved to dance, play cards, cribbage, bingo and was on a bowling league. She was an avid reader and loved the Boston Red Sox. She was predeceased by her parents, a son Armond Schlehuber, a granddaughter Jorie Schlehuber, brothers Leonard, Hildreth and Howard, sisters Myrtle, Emily, Shirley, Clara, Helen and Jolene. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years Lynwood Schlehuber, along with her children, Boyd Schlehuber and his wife Regina of Standish, Malee Blanchard and her husband Donald of Eustis, Harlan Schlehuber and his wife Kris of Old Orchard Beach and Lynnann Marcroft and her husband Jim of Portland. A sister Ruby Bridges and her husband Chan of Holden. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and several great grandchildren, whom she loved with all her heart. A graveside service will be held in the spring at Brooklawn Memorial Park. The family would like to thank the Barron Center for the wonderful care she received.
