She was born on August 19, 1917 in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of Charles Dudley Armstrong and Mary Hilliard Armstrong. Barbara was the wife of Walter M. Dunlap, Jr. of Lancaster, PA, who predeceased her in 2001. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Mary Armstrong Dunlap who predeceased her in 2001 and by a brother, John Larimer Armstrong, and a sister, Virginia Armstrong Kohlhas. She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Michael of Scarborough, ME, and a son, Walt Dunlap and his wife, Cynthia Barnett of Charleston, SC; two grandsons, Abaxes A. Williams and his wife Kristy Tramuta Williams of New Orleans, LA, and Alex Gonyaw of Klamath Falls, OR; five great-grandchildren, Caitlin Mary Williams, Aurora Leigh Williams, Brynne Barbara Williams of San Diego, CA; Johnathan Alexander Gonyaw and Reed Owen Gonyaw of Klamath Falls, OR. She is also survived by two brothers, Thomas M. Armstrong and his wife Rachel F. Armstrong of Falmouth, ME, and Henry H. Armstrong and his wife Nancy McK. Armstrong of Stahlstown, PA.
