Barbara Brittain Aber Jennings March 24, 1926 January 23, 2013 Portland - Barbara Brittain Aber Jennings left this earthly realm on January 23, 2013 at peace and on her own terms. While her lifetime accomplishments were many, her biggest contribution to humanity was being a beloved friend, wife, mother and grandmother. Her compassion and genuine interest in people quickly made others feel comfortable, respected and well-liked. She was generous in her love and support and will be deeply missed by her family and friends across the country. Barbara dedicated her life to supporting and furthering women's and civil rights. Barbara was born in Hornell, NY on March 24, 1926 to Mollie Brittain and Frank Ward Aber. Barbara was was predeceased by her husband, William Jennings, in 2009. Surviving her are sons Nick Logan and his partner, Joanne Evans of Fenton, MI; Mac Logan and his wife Lori Logan of Zanesfield, OH; and daughter, Laurie Logan and her husband Randy Braley and their two children, Mollie and Emily Braley of Cumberland, ME. Barbara's extended family also includes cherished bonus-children, -grandchildren, -great-grandchildren and ""family"" friends. The family would like to thank the many caregivers at Seaside Rehabilitation Center who came to know her well in the past three months. Barbara was very generous with her praise for their loving care. A memorial service will be held in Michigan this summer.
