Annette Cecile Marie (Tanguay) Ledoux April 16, 1931 December 8, 2012 Westbrook- Annette Cecile Marie Tanguay Ledoux, 81, of Kennard Street, passed away at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, Saturday, December 8, 2012, on The Immaculate Conception of The Blessed Virgin Mary, after a brief illness. Annette was born in Westbrook on April 16, 1931, a daughter of Albert and Anna (Richard) Tanguay. She attended Westbrook schools, and was an accomplished pianist, having studied with the nuns at St. Hyacinth's School and with Louis Sirois. Annette attended Broward County Community College during her and her husband's extended visit with their daughter in South Florida. Annette was raised on a farm and loved riding her horse, Rainbow. In her youth, she enjoyed ice skating where she met her husband, Robert E. Ledoux. They were married by Reverend Charles J. Ledoux, Robert's brother, on June 29, 1950. Her wedding picture was selected by Loring Studios for display in the storefront window. Annette and Robert raised nine beautiful children. Her entire life was dedicated to her family. Annette worked at Sebago Moc for many years and also worked at the Westbrook School Department, where she retired. Annette belonged to the Presentation of The Children of Mary at St. Hyacinth's Parish. She was also a member of Our Lady of St. Anne's Society and was a lifelong communicant of St. Anthony of Padua, (formerly St. Hyacinth's Parish.) Annette was a survivor of breast cancer. She was a strong and determined woman and endured all of life's challenges with strength and grace. A highlight of Annette's life was the trip she took in 1984, along with her mother, to The Holy Land, in Jerusalem, where she was able to visit the birthplace of Christ. She floated in the Dead Sea and had many other adventures there. Annette was predeceased by her husband, Robert; sons, Albert and Charles; sisters, Theresa Mondor and Irene Trepanier; brothers, Maurice Tanguay, Leo Tanguay, and Alexander Tanguay. She is survived by sons Raymond, Robert and wife Linda and Richard, all of Westbrook; daughters, Susan Ledoux Goff, Catherine Albert and husband Peter, Anne Marie Ledoux Gallant and Frances Mandigo, all of Westbrook; 21 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and a great-grandchild on the way.
