Obituary

Anissa Elaine Millette, 53, died peacefully at home in the presence of her husband, mother, and children on October 20th, after her third bout of cancer. She was born in Portland, Maine on September 2nd, 1971 to Deborah (Duffey) and Wayne Nason. She graduated from Deering High School, class of 1989. On Christmas Eve 1993, Anissa married Jason Jay Millette on the beach in Old Orchard beach where they first met years before. In their 30 years of marriage, they raised three incredible children and shared the love of many family pets. Some of her greatest joys were cheering on her kids at their school sporting events and relaxing on their family camping trips. A lover of nature, Anissa always looked forward to the blooming of the spring flowers, especially the petunias and daffodils in her garden. She was an avid reader and amassed a large collection of Stephen King novels. Beloved by patients and coworkers alike, Anissa was a dedicated medical assistant for Greater Portland Community Health. Her kind hearted nature was contagious and simply spending time with her left your heart filled with love. Anissa is survived by her mother, Deborah; her husband, Jason; their three children, Bridgette, Jereme, and Isabelle; and her mother-in-law, Jeannine. She was preceded by her father, Wayne Nason; and her father-in-law, Jacques Millette. The family invites you to honor and remember her life at the wake on Thursday, October 24th from 5-8pm at A.T. Hutchins 660 Brighton Ave. The following morning, there will be a graveside service on Friday, October 25th at Evergreen Cemetery at 11am. All are welcome.
