SCARBOROUGH - Amy Beth (Adams) Sheppard, 44, passed away on November 29, 2021 at Maine Medical Center in Portland. Amy was born on October 19, 1977, in Portland, Maine to Paul and Teri (Chadbourne) Adams. Amy was born in Portland and moved to South Portland as a young girl. Her mom describes her as a spitfire who lit up the room! From the time she was 16 years old, she and Johnny were inseparable. After 5 years together, they married and introduced their first child, Haliey Alexa 13 months later. Five years later, they added their second child, Jordan Matthew. She was proud of both and fiercely supported Halieys interest in music and Jordans love of hockey. Amy loved to travel and Disney World was her absolute favorite destination. If she wasn't at Disney, she was planning her next trip, and sometimes it happened at the same time! She went with Haliey and the SHS Chorus to Chicago and went with Jordan and ProAmbitious to Prague. If she couldn't be with the kids for their performances or games, she would watch on FB, FaceTime, or LiveBarn. She was always excited for the "girls' weekends" and would spend hours on costumes for her favorite... the Halloween parties at Disney! Amy loved all things Star Wars and has a huge shelf of collectibles. She has a full Star Wars collection of tshirts, mugs, books, and movies. She was also a Raiders fan and would make a point to mention to Johnny every time they beat his team the Saints! Amy was a strong supporter of the New England Brittany Rescue and loved every single tail wagging 4 legger that moved in for fostering. Puppies were her weakness! Amy was not only a dedicated wife and mother but a hard worker. She worked part time evenings as a clerk and worked her way up to managing the terminal! She always gave 150% to whatever the job was. Her 21 years of service at Overnite/UPS Frieght/TForce Frieght are a testament to her desire to be the best at whatever she did! Amy's light touched so many hearts. There is no way to put on paper how much she is loved! She lived life large! If you didn't like her, wait 5 minutes and you would! She was the light in the room! She was the "queen of selfies." She took thousands of pictures that tell the stories of her husband, her kids, and her extended family! Her spirit was infectious and her passing has left a huge hole in our hearts and all who knew her and loved her. She was predeceased by her grandparents Fred & Joan Adams and Butch & Hazel Chadbourne. Amy is survived by her husband, Johnny Sheppard and their two children: Haliey and Jordan Sheppard of Scarborough. Her parents Teri and Paul Adams, and her brother Andrew Adams all of South Portland. Her in-laws Karen & Greg Deterding of Scarborough. Amy has a large extended family consisting of many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visiting hours will be held at A.T. Hutchins Funeral Home at 660 Brighton Avenue on Sunday, December 5th, 2021 from 2 to 4 P.M. Services will begin at 4 P.M. following the visitation.
