Our hearts are broken as we say goodbye to our dad, Alexander, known to many as “Alex” and “BC.”
Dad was one of a kind. He was goofy, funny, full of personality, and never afraid to be himself. He had a way of turning ordinary moments into memories, whether he was making us laugh, giving us a hard time, or simply being Dad. And if a room ever got too quiet, you could count on his speaker coming on. He loved all kinds of music and somehow always had a song playing in the background.
Dad loved his New York Yankees and loved baseball, but watching his son grow up playing the game made that love even more special. He was so proud of the baseball player his son was becoming and was always there to support him, cheer him on, and share in the excitement of every game. We know he’ll still be in the stands, watching over him and cheering the loudest.
And then there was Dad’s love for pork. If there was pork on the menu, you could bet Dad was first to be there. It was one of those little things about him that makes us smile now and will always remind us of him.
More than anything, Dad loved his family. He would do any and everything for us. His presence, his voice, his jokes, his music, and even the things that drove us crazy are the things we would give anything to have back.
We will miss his stories, hearing his music playing when the room should probably have been quiet. We will miss watching baseball with him, and all the crazy stories from working his whole life at the airport, and most of all, we will miss the little everyday moments we never realized would one day mean so much.
Dad left his mark on everyone who knew him, but his biggest mark will always be on his children and the people who loved him most.
We love you, Dad. We miss you every day. Keep watching over us. Until we meet again 🙏🏽🪽
