Adelaide Jean Elwell December 30, 1931 May 7, 2014 -South Portland Adelaide Jean Elwell, 82, of South Portland passed away at her home surrounded by her family on May 7, 2014. She was born a daughter of the late Ordelson and Mary (Dyer) Thompson in Portland on December 30, 1931. Adelaide enjoyed living life to the fullest. Some of the things she enjoyed doing included but not limited to; beano, bowling, camping, trips with family, family get togethers, and most of all caring for her family as well as being a mom to many other children. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her husband of 49 years Earlin Elwell Sr., her son Earlin Elwell Jr., her daughter Cheryle Bouchard, her brother Edwin Thompson and her sister Elizabeth Dzik. Adelaide is survived by; her daughter Mary Heselton of Portland, her daughter Janet and her husband Henry Farrington of South Portland, her son Russell Elwell of South Portland, her son Danny Elwell of South Portland, her sister Beatrice Butts of Otisfield, her brother Rodney Thompson of Portland, 15 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to visiting hours from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday May 13, 2014 at A.T. Hutchins Funeral Home 660 Brighton Avenue Portland, ME.
