When I think of Uncle Vin, my mind always go back to the mid 1960s into early 1970s. My mother's father, my lobsterman grandfather from Vinalhaven, Maine, would bring to my house in the North Deering section of Portland his annual huge crate of live lobsters & crabs. My grandfather would spend hours cooking the lobsters & crabs for all those relatives and friends who showed up with a taste for the open waters of the North Atlantic.. Uncle Vin always came to the house and ate to his heart's content, all the time telling his stories in only the way he could! It really didn't matter if his stories were true tales or just tall tales. Uncle Vin could certainly spin a story. As Bob Hope used to say, "Thanks for the memories" Uncle Vin.

My Uncle Vinny - A self-made man with a personality larger than life. Now, he's in the Hands of God. May his family find the strength to keep his spirit alive. He remains in our thoughts and prayers.

Our deepest condolences to the Marcisso family. We were honored to share stories, sing songs and break bread with such an interesting, fun loving man of heritage. We enjoyed the surrounding warmth in his presence and will always remember his true love of family and song.
