Victor Carmine Esposito

Victor and his brother Joe used to show up around bedtime at our house when I was a child.  They would come in loud and booming "Where's the kids?  Get them up! We want to play with the kids!"  Dad would have no choice but to let us get up.  It was like the circus came in the door.   Joe and Victor are here!  Hooray!  Those memories endured throughout my life and still inform my affection for this sweet , lovable, bear of a man.

I loved Victor.  I worked on Andy Tucci's construction crew with Carmine Rumo at the Parks Dept. during summers.  I was in college, recently married and dirt poor.  Victor made sure that I got all of the overtime I could work.  He was kind but demanded hard work and great customer service.  Years later I got to work with Victor again when I became a Dept. Head with the City.  I tried to be the type of boss that Victor was.  My wife and I will never forget Victor.
