To family and friends,

I am very sorry to hear of the loss of your loved one.
No matter how long we live we would normally like to live longer. Why is that?
We were created to live forever. God told Adam not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and bad or he would surely die. (Genesis 2:17) This was a small test to see if he loved God. 1 John 5:3 says: "For this is what the love of God means, that we observe his commandments; and yet his commandments are not burdensome. " So why do we die today? Because we inherited imperfection from Adam and Eve. Romans 5:12 says: " That is why, just as through one man sin entered the world and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because they had all sinned." Jesus gave his life as a ransom to pay back what Adam lost (a perfect human life.)
Romans 5:19 goes on to say: " For just as through the disobedience of one man many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of one person many will be made righteous." Jesus will bring our dead loved ones back to life. Acts 24:15 says: "And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous."

I was saddened to read of Mr. DeLuca's passing. I recall many memorable moments growing up on Leonard Street with Lucy, Tom Jr and Tony. I felt like the Irish son of the family ! Their home was your home too, that's how Mr. and Mrs. DeLuca made you feel. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your families. God Bless !

Oh Luci, I am so saddened to read of Mr. D's passing. I have fond memories of swapping Italian cookies with each other. I'd make the anise hand cookies, and he'd make the pizzelles. And I might add that they were the best ever! Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. With love.....Vikki
