Roxanne Victoria (Howard) Johnson

Portland – Roxanne Victoria Johnson (Rocky), 65, a resident of Portland, Passed away June 25,  2017, peacefully at Mercy Hospital, from a long time illness.

Rocky was born in Portland Maine on March 25, 1952, the daughter of Marjorie Moody and Herman Howard. She attended Portland High School. She had many Friends that she loved dearly. Rocky enjoyed volunteering at the Root Cellar and many other agencies in the Portland area that helped people. She was a life time member of the Am vets Post 25. She was a practical joker who loved to laugh. Rocky enjoyed daily trips to the Goodwill with friends and family.

She is survived by her mother Marjorie Moody of Portland; her 2 daughters Tammy Beote and her Husband Brian of Portland, and Melinda Parker of Tennessee; 3 grandsons Joshua Mimmovich and his wife Becca of Buxton, Keith Felker of Washington, and Morgan Mowatt of Tennessee; 1 great-grandson Clark Felker of Wasington; 5 sisters Carleen Cooliage of Florida, Rosemary Berry of Florida, Sherry Bulanhagui of Florida, Cindy Harris of Georgia, and Shelia Crosby of Portland; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her father Herman Howard, a sister Noreen Clark, and grandparents Margaret and Raymond Small.

Friends and family are invited to visiting hours from 2 to 4 pm on Friday June 30, 2017 at A.T. Hutchins Funeral Home, 660 Brighton Ave, Portland. Funeral Services will follow at 4 pm. There also will be a Celebration of Life for Rocky at the Root Cellar, 94 Washington Ave. in Portland on Monday, July 3, 2017 at 11:30 am. This will be a pot luck event, so please bring a dish to share.
