Rosemarie Vincent, 88, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2017 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough, with her two daughters holding her hands.

Rosemarie was born in Melorse, MA, the daughter of Angelo and Anna (Sicarello) Verrengia. She grew up and attended schools in Malden, MA.

She married Vernon Vincent on June 18, 1949. They lived in Boston before moving to Portland, ME where they raised their family on Munjoy Hill. She worked at Health-Tex for 28 years before retiring in 1987. Rosemarie took great pride in being a mother and considered her grandchildren her pride and joy. She enjoyed many days of babysitting and would never miss a sporting event or school activity.  She was most proud when she attended her grandchildren's high school and college graduations.

A lot of great memories were made spending days with her family and close friends at Sebago Lake and Two Lights State Park. She enjoyed many day trips with her daughters to the casino, shopping and often times going to plays in Ogunquit, Brunswick and Boston. She was well known for making her delicious whoopie pies that were always popular at her daughters' work functions and gatherings with friends and family.  Christmas was her favorite holiday, where she would always make a highly anticipated Italian meal of antipasto salad, stuffed shells, meatballs, veal parmesan and eggplant parmesan.

Her adventurous side came out in her later years, taking her first of two motorcycle rides when she was 83 years old.

She was predeceased by her husband of almost 50 years, Vernon Vincent and sister, Marguerite Kenvin.

She is survived by and will be greatly missed by her daughters; Gloria Vincent and Janice Leadbetter and her husband, Ed of Portland. Her grandchildren; Jessica Wasco and her husband Matthew of Gorham and Jason Leadbetter and his wife Hannah of Windham. As well as her great granddaughter, Cambria Wasco.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday,  November 27, 2017 from 10am-12pm with a  funeral service directly following at A.T. Hutchins 660 Brighton Avenue, Portland, ME. Burial will be in Brooklawn Memorial Park.
