Roberta and Charlie were wonderful marriage role models when we moved in next door on Maine Ave as newlyweds. We planted gardens together, my cat slept in her bedrooms during the day, and I’ll aleays remember that Charlie cleaned the cars on Saturday mornings. And I just laugh when I think of Roberta putting up her Christmas tree right after Thanksgiving. But a week before Christmas it would be so dried up, so she’d toss it out the back door and put up the artificial one. Such a wonderful woman, I’m sure you all miss her terribly.
