I worked with Bob for two summers at the Turnpike Authority. The things that Bob taught me has served me well over the years. Not just his many talents on the job. He had many.
He had work ethic, responsibility, dependability, professionalism, and support of ideals. Some of these things are seldom seen today.
Its sad to see men like him go.
I think of him often.

Bob was a long-time friend. We first met in front of The Quality Shop in Portland .while unsuccessfully trying to unlock each other's cars because they were identical. After that we used to meet frequently inside the store over coffee, reminiscing over our military experiences and bemoaning the current political situation. He was a true gentleman, and a very wise and observant person. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Dear Allison & Family,

Our hearts are broken to know that your Dad has to leave us.  It was such an honor and privilege to know your Dad, as he was a good man.  He was so kind to our family, and was always interested in what ever was going on.  We are grateful to know that he was able to attend our daughter's wedding, and our son's graduation luncheon last year.  He was always so anxious to look forward for the next event.  We miss talking with him, and miss hearing his great stories about all of his travels while in the service.  He had such pride to have served for 20 years in the Navy.  Your Dad loved life, and worked so hard to fight the fight just to keep on moving forward to be able to get out to see people and visit friends & family.  We miss hearing his comments such as, "Jiminy Crickets", and "So On and So Forth"...they were so cute coming from him.  He loved his family very much, and he will always be remember by our family as a great "true" friend, and a "member" of our family.  Your Dad will be greatly missed, and treasure all of the great times that you had with him, as we do after these last 20+ years of knowing him.  Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers during these difficult days ahead.

Sincerely,
Jim, Robin, Abby & Ben, James
