This picture is so perfect for how I have always held my Aunt Phyllis in my memory. Always the perfect lady, dressed nicely with makeup and nice jewelry, an ever-ready hostess. I told her she should have written a Jewish Community Gazette, as she was so connected to everyone and could always keep us all informed about everyone. RIght? If you knew Phyllis, you know what I'm talking about. When I'd speak with my parents in FL, they'd share with me the news and updates they heard from Aunt Phyllis. There was no one more social and socially connected than she was.
I also fondly remember our holidays and family gatherings with her delicious cooking and lots of laughs. She was little in stature, but she had quite a quick wit, and a big heart, and lots of energy! Portland will not be the same without you. Continue to keep an eye on us, will you?
With love,
Ann (niece)
