Our condolences to Maxine's family. My sister and I were her students at SCSU in the 1970's. Maxine was an encouraging teacher who shared her joy of music with her students. We stayed in touch over the years with holiday cards, birthday cards, and notes. We did visit Maxine and Bill a couple of times in Kittery Point and she was a most gracious hostess. We lost touch with each other after Bill passed. We are thankful that she was our friend all these years. Rest in peace, dear lady.

MAxine was a great lady, and I enjoyed her company at Scarborough Terrace. I used to warch her when she said good bye to her niece and she waved until she no longer could see the car go up the street. My sympathy to her family. Mary Dardano

Dear Maxine! It was always such a pleaure to visit her. I remember: warmth, cakes, baklava, lilting laugh, her cats, playing the violin for my kids. She was a wonderful host, sweet and caring, intelligent but with a sense of humor. Rest in peace.
