Lillian "Jane" (Horr) Pooler

Lillian “Jane” Pooler, 85, of Westbrook, passed away at home on January 6, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.  She was born February 23, 1932 in Portland to James and Mary (Devaney) Horr.

Lillian attended Portland schools and received her diploma from Portland High School.  She worked at Service Book Bindery, as a CNA at Maine Medical Center for over 20 years, and most importantly raised a family of 8 children.  She married Robert Pooler on June 11, 1955 at St. John’s in South Portland.  She enjoyed the outdoors, spending time on the islands, painting, traveling, but most of all loved spending time with her family.

Lillian was preceded in death by:  her parents; husband; 3 children, Robert, Wendy, and Bruce; granddaughter, Janna; and siblings, Bernard, Arnold, and Kathleen.  She is survived by:  her children, Michael (Darlene) Pooler of Waldoboro, Brian Pooler of Windham, Lynn Brown of Portland, Angela (Fred) Brown-Adams of Westbrook, and James (Lori) Pooler of Portland; sisters, Carolyn (Bob) Gilman of Gorham and Linda (Leo) White of Gray; over 70 grandchildren and great-children; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at A.T. Hutchins Funeral Home.  A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception with interment to follow at Brooklawn Memorial Park.
