Isabel Jean DeLuca, of Portland, passed away April 13, 2018 at Mercy Hospital. She was born July 22, 1931 in Warren, OH to Ignazio and Gilda (DiCrecchio) Maiorano.
Isabel attended Warren, OH schools. Her family moved to Maine in 1947. She married the love of her life, Thomas DeLuca Sr., on July 30, 1950. She stayed home to raise their three children. She enjoyed ceramics, water colors, playing Bingo, jigsaw puzzles, and bowling. Her favorite thing to do was to spend time up to camp on Thomas Pond in Raymond with her family and friends.
Isabel was preceded in death by: her parents; husband of 67 years, Thomas DeLuca, Sr.; and three sisters, Jeannie Houston, Nicolette Seneca, and Annamarie Ciccarelli. She is survived by: her daughter, Luci Woods of Buxton; sons, Thomas Jr. and his wife, Mary of Lewiston, and Anthony and his fiancé, Sue Fisher of Minnesota; four grandchildren, Anthony DeLuca Jr. and his wife Becky, Joseph and his wife, Lindsey, Dominic DeLuca and Aaron Woods; four great-grandchildren; close nephew, Bruce Houston; and many other nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Isabel’s name to St. Joseph’s Rehabilitation and Residence, 1133 Washington Ave., Portland, ME 04103.
Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at A.T. Hutchins Funeral Home, 660 Brighton Ave., Portland. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in South Portland.
