Hugh G.E. MacMahon

I just learned of Hugh's passing and want Barbara to know how much Jerry and I cherished our long-standing friendship. Hugh was a fine, kind person. I remember getting to know Hugh and Barbara in the choir of Christ Church in Coronado, California in the 1960's.

I have just learned of Hugh’s recent death and wanted to extend my condolences to his family. I didn’t know him well, but it was an honor and pleasure to assist him with copy-editing the history of Cleaves Law Library that he wrote with such care and fondness. He was a kind and gentle man. I am sorry for your loss and the loss to Maine’s legal community.

Hugh was a valued and beloved mentor early in my legal career. My professional life was immeasurably better because of him. My sincere condolences to Barbara and their family, former colleagues and clients of Drummond Woodsum Plimpton & MacMahon, and all in the Maine legal community who mourn Hugh’s passing.

We lived across Brook Rd. from Hugh and Barbara in the late sixties and early seventies. It was a long time ago but don't forget wonderful neighbors. Always in our memories and in our  prayers, Hugh, Barbara and family.

I was fortunate to have sung in the choir with Hugh and Barbara at Trinity Episcopal Church and am sorry I was unable to attend his services.  He will certainly be missed!

My husband and I were away all of this week and did not know about Mr. MacMahon's death  until tonight.  We moved to Ocean View two months ago and had not met him but we did want Mrs. MacMahon and her family to know that our thoughts and prayers are with them.
