George, I was very saddened to hear the news of your Dad's passing.  I will always remember watching you and Darren play high school baseball with your Dad.  My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.  Sincerely, Ron Lizotte

Dear family and friends of George W. Curran, Jr., CS1(SS),

On behalf of the United States Submarine Veterans - USSVI, please accept our sincere sympathy at George’s passing. You are in our thoughts and prayers. May you find kindness to warm you, sympathy to comfort you, and cherished memories to bring peace to your heart.

We are forever grateful for George's service to our country in the United States Submarine service. George joined the Navy in 1962 and retired in 1984 as a CS1(SS). George was a crewmember on the USS James Monroe (SSBN-622). To our Brother of the Phin we say, “Sailor, rest your oar. We have the watch.”

“Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way.” 2 Thessalonians 3:16.

Curran, Jr., George W., CS1(SS), US Navy, now on Eternal Patrol -- Fair Winds and Following Seas to our departed shipmate. George’s record is posted online in the Eternal Patrol file on the USSVI website.

Rev. Ray Fritz, EM1(SS) - Acting National Chaplain United States Submarine Veterans, USSVI and Assistant Chaplain Carolina Piedmont Base, USSVI. Leave a message at (803-619-1121).
