Dorothy "Dottie" Gribbin Obituary

Windham- Our family is devastated to announce the untimely death of our beloved Dorothy M. Gribbin (Dotti Mitchell) on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at the age of 47.

Dotti was born on September 2, 1972 in Portland, Maine to Victor Mitchell Sr. & Helen Hodgkin (Mitchell-Grant). She graduated from Portland High School and attended Andover College.
Dotti served for 25+ years as a devoted CNA. She was consistently recognized for her love, support and compassion with her patients. She enjoyed time with family & friends, attending cookouts and family holidays at mom & papa's house. She also loved going out having a cocktail & dancing the night away, and enjoyed days at the beach out in the sun. During the evenings you would always catch her watching a game of "Wheel of fortune”. She enjoyed playing pranks that always involved some form of chocolate and retelling the years of stories that brought us all laughter. Anyone that knew Dotti would say her heart was pure, good and filled with so much emotion. Even if you crossed her, you would manage to see her third eye, but she always would forgive because she was someone that believed in second chances.

Dotti always managed to stay in touch with childhood friends that would be in and out of her life. However, anyone that knew her also knew how much she loved her son Daniel M. Gribbin Jr. (Naples) & Daughter Brianna H. Boucher (Windham).

Dotti was predeceased by her father Victor Mitchell Sr., sister Michele Solinko (Mitchell), grandparents Alice & Joseph Grant Sr., her first husband Daniel M. Gribbin Sr. (1993) and second husband William Boucher (2019).

Dotti is survived by her parents Helen Hodgkin (Grant), Paul Hodgkin (stepdad), sister Lisa M. Milliken (Mitchell), sister Amy Mitchell; companion Brian LeClair, sister Kayla Barker; husband Ti Barker, brother Victor Mitchell Jr, Sisters Tammy Marshall and Tanya Pinkham. Aunt & Uncle Winniford & Donald Durrah, Patricia & John Southard and many nieces & Nephews and cousins.

Dotti’s family and friends will miss her unique sense of humor and most of all her beautiful infectious smile. She will be remembered with much love and for the life she lived.
