Dominique Steven Morrilly

Dominique “Dom or Nick" Steven Morrilly, 26, passed away after a short but brave battle from Neuroendocrine Carcinoma on Tuesday, September 19th, 2017 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough, Maine. Dom and Christine were fortunate enough to be married on Sunday, September 17th, 2017 in his room at the Hospice House surrounded by family.  He was born on November 7th, 1990 in Portland, Maine.

Dominique attended Fryeburg and Lewiston schools and played football since the age of 7.

He most recently worked at Falmouth By the Sea for three years where he was promoted from a cook to the Kitchen Supervisor.

Dom’s hobbies included: Cooking, listening to rock music, lifting weights, boating, playing video games, and watching reality TV shows with Christine.

Dom would want to be remembered for having a “muscle competition” with his dad since the minute Dom was able to flex his muscles. Dom’s son Talan takes after his dad and tells everyone that he wants to be as muscular as his dad when he grows up. Also, in the very little spare time he had, he helped his mom and stepdad build their dream house.

Dom and Christine met seven years ago and he stood by her side while she was on dialysis and receiving a kidney transplant.

Dominique is survived by his wife, Christine and their two sons, Talan, aged 5 and Jaxon, one month old of Yarmouth, Maine, his mom Debra and stepdad Todd of Standish, Maine and his dad David, stepmom Kathryn and their two children, Elizabeth and Benjamin of Iowa City, Iowa.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, September 25th, 2017 from 4:00-6:00 pm, followed by a memorial service at 6:00 pm at: A.T. Hutchins Funeral Home located at 660 Brighton Ave in Portland, Maine.
