Clarence Tracy Sr.

Clarence W Tracy Sr born July 4, 1929 in West Jonesport, Maine to the late Harvey B and Ella Robinson Tracy past away after an illness of dementia and heart problems.  He is predeceased by is wife Anna M Reilly Tracy, sisters Juanita, Alice, Frances, Minerva, Emily, a brother Harvey B Tracy Jr and his second wife Carole Smith Tracy.

Growing in up in West Jonesport he went clamming, worming, fishing, lobstering and many odd jobs to earn money to help his family.  Clarence joined the US Navy at 17. His Navel training was at the Great Lakes US Naval Base in Chicago, IL.  He met his wife Anna while stationed in Philadelphia, PA. Upon leaving the Navy, Tracy worked for the US Pipe and Foundry Co in Burlington, NJ about 11 years. Clarence and Anna move to Maine to be closer to his family.  After relocating to Maine, he worked as a diesel mechanic for Cummins Diesel. He like to work on vehicles, go fishing, hunting and driving to the White Mountains in NH.  During his retirement Clarence collected Jeep parts and build his own Jeep truck which he drove.  You could hear him whistling often, on rare occasions he would sing country songs, love Johnny Cash.  His favorite was Ring of Fire. He liked to tinker and repair things.  While sometimes using paperclips, coat hangers or whatever was available.

Tracy is survived by his and Anna’s children Ann M Carlista, Barbara E Petto, Ella Huntley, Geraldine Zaler, Darline Tracy-Bellows, Clarence (Chip) Tracy Jr and Emily L Davis.  Clarence is also survived by his and Carole’s children Laura Tracy and Tracie Tracy.

 And his grandchildren Robert E Carlista Jr, Michelle Johnson, Danielle Dunphy, Del Hodgkins, Olivia Mathews, Timothy Smith, Clarence (Chipper) Tracy III, Kenneth N Sawyer,  Anna Davis, Clair Tracy, Christopher Tracy, Earle (Zachery) Zaler, Allissa Lee Wormwood, Amanda Marie Wormwood, Joseph Tracy, Ashley Hanscom and Genna Guffey. 

His great grandchildren are Emanuel A Carlista, Katlyn D Carlista, Robert E Carlista III, Paysen, Desiree, Alec, Bryce, Colby and Shawn Hodgkins, Everett and Tracie Webster, Rodney and Nicholas Mathews, Micheal D Johnson Jr, Isaial, Brianne, Josiah and Maryona Whetzel, Alexis M Deschaine, Maddix D Kotsimputos, Olivia Wilcox.  A great great granddaughter Layla Mathews. He is predeceased by a granddaughter Nicole Dunphy and great great granddaughter Caroline Norton.

He is survived by a third wife Ruth Tracy of Hollis, ME.

There will be no funeral service. His ashes will be interred at the VA cemetery in Augusta, ME. A small service will be held there.   

Rest, relax and enjoy those you have not seen for a while Dad. It has not been an easy time for you these last few years. Say hi to Mom and everyone from us. Love you.
