Mr. & Mrs. Johnson were our neighbors on Silva Drive for over 30 years and you couldn’t have asked for nicer and more considerate people to have in your life. They are both missed and are in our thoughts.

Carl and Mary lived across the street from us for over 40 years, and were always available when we needed a hand. For many years, Carl plowed the driveways of his Silva Drive neighbors--a tremendous gift to us all. And what a good storyteller he was! Carl will be sorely missed.

I remember Carl working every spring on his beautiful boat; 'a labor of love' as he would say !!
RIP Carl, I will miss your wave!

I will always remember all the great times my wife and I had with Mary and Carl (my aunt and uncle) from the great boxing matches at the Portland Expo in the seventies to all the great family get togethers at the house in Cape Elizabeth and the camp on Thomas pond. Carl and Mary were such a great pair. The talents that Carl had in
all of his endeavors was remarkable. He was a " jack of all trades" and a master of many. Mary and Carl were not only my aunt and uncle but we're treasured and close friends. They will be missed forever.

I was saddened to read of Carl's passing.   I recall with great fondness the many trips he took with us on the Longfellow Cruise Line back in the early 80's.  He loved the ocean and as well as the Casco Bay History often intermingled with the political commentaries and occasional poetry of Captain Rodney Ross. He was a wonderful man with a sly, understated sense of humor that was augmented by a raise of those bushy brows and twitch of the stache!   He and Mary will be missed.
