Windham-Andrew Leo Asali, died unexpectedly Sunday, June 24th, 2018
He was born in Portland, Maine to Albert Sr & Joyce (Bonnevie) Asali on September 29, 1964. Andy attended Deering High School where he graduated in 1982.
He worked as a welder for Rich Tool & Die and enjoyed his job as a bridge operator on the Casco Bay Bridge. He married his high school sweetheart, Tamara Thayer, in 1984.
Andy is survived by his parents Albert Sr & Joyce Bonnevie Asali and his wife Tamara Asali, his son Andrew Louis Asali and his family. His daughter Anecia Trickey and her husband Wade Trickey. He was a proud Papa to two beautiful granddaughters, Sophia Marie and Adriana Lynn.
Andy is also survived by his sister, Rose Asali Harris, his sister Kathleen Dall, his brother George Asali, his brother Albert Asali Jr, his twin sister Barbie Asali, and his brother in law, Gary Thayer, along with 12 nieces, and nephews, and 13 great nieces and nephews.
Andy is predeceased by his brother Joseph Asali and in-laws Robinson and Cheryl Cook.
Andy was a simple, humble, and kind man. He always wore a smile and brightened any room he walked in to. He just wanted to have a laugh and share old stories. He loved his family, triumphs, rock & roll and the "castle" he made.
A private ceremony and burial is scheduled for Friday.
A celebration of life will be held at Andy's home at 84 Nash Road in Windham at 3 pm on Friday, June 29th. All are welcome to join Andy's family.
