Albert "Al" Bulley, Sr. Obituary

Albert Joseph Bulley, Sr. of Portland, ME, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2018. Al was born in Caribou, ME, on February 16, 1951, to Donald Joseph Bulley and Annie Mary Cote. He grew up in Mapleton and worked cutting trees, hauling wood, and harvesting potatoes. When he was in his 30s, he moved to Windham and worked at Charlie Biggs in Windham and Coyne’s Variety in Westbrook. It was during his time at Coyne’s that he met the love of his life, Nancy Perry Foss. They were married at the American Legion Hall in Westbrook on February 13, 1993. They had just celebrated their 25th anniversary!

After Coyne’s was damaged by fire, Al got a job at Verillos on Riverside Street in Portland. He worked washing dishes for many restaurants in the area such as Valles , Dennys, Friendlys, Holiday Inn, and lastly Thanksgivings. He was always a very hard worker and held two to three jobs at the same time.

Al loved music and spent a lot of time taking Nancy dancing at the Ramada Inn. He also had a very large collection of CDs that he listened to, especially when he could no longer leave the house.

Al leaves his wife, Nancy of Portland, two sons, Albert Bulley, Jr., and Charles Hamilton.
