Franklin D LeClair Jr February 27, 1944 October 31, 2016 Franklin D LeClair Jr - 72, of Portland, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday October 31, 2016. He was born on February 27, 1944 in Portland, Maine, the son of Franklin D and Ruth E (Stewart) LeClair Sr. Frank grew up in Portland and attended Portland area schools. He worked as a Rigger at Cianbro Construction for 45 years, where he was known as Batman to his coworkers and friends. Frank was a history buff, he loved to read, and his favorite holiday was Halloween, he loved to hand out bags of candy to the kids. Most of all Frank loved his family, especially the grandkids that were each referred to as his favorite. Frank is survived by his wife Linda (Clark) LeClair; 3 sons Stephen LeClair and his wife Robyn, Franklin D LeClair III, and Richard Manoogian and his wife Jennifer; 2 daughters Christina Scalcione, and Rynee Hascall; 2 brothers William LeClair and his wife Mary, and Earl LeClair and his wife Nancy; a sister Joanne Grover; and Many grandchildren, great grandchildren nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, a daughter Michelle Theriault, and 2 brothers James and Donald Le Clair At his request there will be no services, if you want to celebrate his life he asked that you go buy a drink and send him a toast in Heaven.
