Terrence Farrin Obituary

Terrence W. Farrin
1-27-1940  -  3-15-2024
Terry was born in Damariscotta ME, son of Charles and Louise Alley Farrin, the fifth of seven children.  The family moved from South Bristol to Portland and Terry graduated from Portland High School in 1958 where his favorite subject was art.  In 1959 he married Joan Bryer and together they raised three children in Gray. In 1969 they moved to Middleton, MA where Terry was active as a coach in his children’s sports and as a Cub Scout leader. Terry worked in the fire detection equipment industry and was a member of the United Assoc. of Sprinkler Fitters, Plumbers, and Pipefitters. Before his early retirement in 1995 from Boston Local 550,  he moved back to Maine and enjoyed hunting from the camp he built in Monroe, ME, bass fishing, playing golf at Riverside, and was proud of his two holes in one!  He also immersed himself in his artwork, notably pet portraits.  He married Sandra Pease Coyne in 1993 and they enjoyed traveling the country in their RV, fostering cats and volunteering for a local animal rescue shelter, and many winters in their FL home. Terry was predeceased by his parents, his brothers, Charles and James and his sisters Clarice, Loraine, and Jane.  He is survived by his wife Sandra of South Portland, daughters, Wendy McNally, Cocoa Beach FL, Terry Ann Douglass, Somersworth NH, and son Wayne Farrin, Georgetown, MA, sister Hilda Marie Wing, Indian Head, MD, six grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Terry will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends.  A celebration of his life will be announced.
