Robert "Bobby" A. Fusco Sr.

Robert “Bobby” A. Fusco Sr., 76, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday morning, March 22, 2018, after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Portland on January 24, 1942, the son of Anthony A. and Irene R. (Somerset) Fusco. He attended Portland Schools graduating from Portland High School in 1960, marrying his high school sweetheart, Dianne McNeil in 1961, raising their family on Munjoy Hill.

He worked for the City of Portland’s “Lee Recreation Center” and General Electric Company from which he retired. He always told the best stories, making a friend wherever he went. His favorite pastimes were hunting, fishing, and swimming with his many friends at Riverton Pool. He also enjoyed going to yard sales, Flea Markets and going to the Cookie Jar for sweets. His greatest Love of all was spending time with his family, wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his extended family and friends.

He was predeceased by his brother Charlie Fusco and sister Lori Ann Fusco.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years Dianne, his daughter Lori O’Donnell and her husband David, one son Robert Fusco Jr. and his wife Maryann, and his grandchildren; Daniel Fusco and his wife Jenna, Nicole Nason and her husband Brian, Maria Fusco and her partner Taylor Powell, Hayden O’Donnell Anthony O’Donnell, two great-grandchildren; Dylan Fusco and Khloe Fusco. Bobby was excitingly awaiting the birth of his two great-grandchildren, Emily and Owan.  He also leaves his siblings, Renee Staples, Linda Basso and her husband Buddy, Kathy MacDonald and her husband Mark, Tony Fusco and his wife Karen, Kelly Gushee and her husband Vaughn, John Fusco and Mark Fusco, sister-in-law Kitty Fusco, many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. William Wadland, his home nurse Karen Knudsen and the many doctors who provided him loving care.

Visiting Hours will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, from 4:00 to 7:00pm at A.T. Hutchins Funeral Home 660 Brighton Avenue in Portland.
